• The North American Spine Society (NASS) www.spine.org NASS is a dynamic, multidisciplinary medical organization that promotes spine research, educates spine care professionals, assists its members to provide high quality cost effective care for patients with spinal disorders & informs the public about spine health issues.

• The Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS) www.csrs.org is a multidisciplinary organization that provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and promotes clinical and basic science research of the cervical spine. The organization values collegial interaction and strong scientific principles.

• The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) www.aaos.org provides education and practice management services for orthopaedic surgeons and allied health professionals. The Academy also serves as an advocate for improved patient care and informs the public about the science of orthopaedics. Founded at Northwestern University as a not-for-profit organization in 1933, the Academy has grown from a small organization serving less than 500 members to the world's largest medical association of musculoskeletal specialists. The Academy now serves about 24,000 members internationally. Members of the Academy, called fellows, are orthopaedists concerned with the diagnosis, care, and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. The orthopaedist's scope of practice includes disorders of the body's bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. Fellows have completed four years of medical school and at least five years of an approved "residency" in orthopaedics. In addition, they must pass a comprehensive oral and written examination, be certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and submit to stringent membership review processes prior to admittance to the Academy.

• The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) www.aans.org is dedicated to advancing the specialty of neurological surgery and serving as the spokesorganization for all practitioners of the specialty of neurosurgery, in order to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.

• The Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) www.neurosurgeon.org exists for the purpose of promoting the public welfare through the advancement of neurosurgery, by a commitment to excellence in education, and by dedication to research and scientific knowledge. The Congress of Neurological Surgeons maintains the vitality of our learned profession through the altruistic volunteer efforts of its members and the development of leadership in service to the public, to our colleagues in other disciplines, and to the special needs of our fellow neurosurgeons throughout the world and at every stage of their professional lives.

• The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) www.posna.org has as its mission the development and implementation of the highest quality education of pediatric orthopaedists thereby assuring the best possible care of musculoskeletal pediatric patients. POSNA will endeavor to become the focal point and authoritative source on such care through appropriate alliances with other related organizations and through research that will lead to evidence based patient care.

• The Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) srs.org is a professional organization, made up of physicians and allied health personnel. Our primary focus is on providing continuing medical education for health care professionals and on funding/supporting research in spinal deformities. Founded in 1966, the SRS has gained recognition as one of the world's premier spine societies. Strict membership criteria ensure that the individual Fellows support that commitment. Current membership includes over 900 of the world's leading spine surgeons as well as some researchers, physician assistants and orthotists who are involved in research and treatment of spinal deformities.

• The Spine Arthroplasty Society (SAS) www.spinearthroplasty.org was organized to provide a venue on the benefits of non-fusion technology in providing for spinal stabilization as a consequence of trauma, deformities, as well as degenerative diseases of the spine. Spine Arthroplasty is seen as the next evolutionary step to provide restoration of the original structure and in course, restoration of pain-free “natural” mobility of the spine. The purpose of the society is to educate and exchange information on Spine Arthroplasty technology.
